QUALITY DOCUMENTATION

Quality, COA and batch traceability

Clear documentation helps veterinarians and purchasers understand what is being supplied and which information belongs to a specific batch.

What a Certificate of Analysis can show

  • Product or material identification
  • Batch or lot number
  • Test methods and reported results
  • Purity or assay result where applicable
  • Testing date and document authorization

A COA is batch-specific

A generic specification is not the same as a Certificate of Analysis for the actual batch. Buyers should be able to match the lot information on the supplied product with the associated record.

Quality review beyond one number

A purity percentage alone does not establish identity, sterility, suitability, stability or clinical effectiveness. The relevant quality information depends on product format and intended handling.

Information confirmed before an order

  • Product format and packaging
  • Available batch documentation
  • Storage and transport requirements
  • Destination and purchaser eligibility
  • Post-delivery support channel
